A common question with regard to the admission process is about the boundaries of the parish. Details of the parish boundary for St. James’s Church, Sussex Gardens and St. John’s Hyde Park can be found on the website of the Church of England.
At St. James & St. John, pupils must wear the correct uniform each school day.
Our school uniform can be ordered from

Name Labels
All uniforms should be clearly labelled with the child’s name. In the event that clothing is mislaid, it will be returned to your child's class teacher if found.
Hair and Jewellery
Items of jewellery are unsuitable for primary school pupils to wear during the school day. Rings, necklaces, brooches and earrings should be left at home. Please ensure that pupils with pierced ears wear only studs to school. Any other piercing is not permitted e.g. nose and eyebrow. Hair that is shoulder length or longer needs to be tied back or secured with an alice band. Small hair bands, scrunchies and slides should be red, grey or black.
Please do not send your child to school with extreme hair fashions, including dyed hair, closely shaven hair or images or shapes cut into the hair.
