Consultation on admission arrangements for St James and St John CE Primary School
Please be advised of the proposed change to the admission arrangements for St James and St John CE Primary School for 2027-28
Please note the proposed changes:
- Removal of requirement in the oversubscription criteria for children to be baptised, while applying under the church attendance categories 2, 4 and 5.
- Removal of oversubscription criteria ‘Children who live nearest to the school’ as all categories are ranked by distance to the school.
- Amendments to ensure full alignment with the Schools Admissions Code 2021
The consultation period is from Monday 15th December 2025 to Monday 26th January 2026.
We welcome feedback from all members of our local community who may be affected by the proposed changes.
