Ofsted report

The Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) carry out regular inspections of all schools in England. Their inspection reports provide information to parents about how well each school is doing.

We are pleased to share the report from the school’s Ofsted inspection which took place in April 2026.

Ofsted no longer give schools one overall judgement and there is new language for grades in eight different areas like ‘attendance and behaviour’, ‘achievement’, ‘personal development’ and ‘Inclusion’.

We are delighted to let you know that St James and St John has been graded at the ‘Strong Standard’ in every area. Strong Standard has been described by Ofsted as ‘an excellent standard’. Only the top 15% of schools inspected have been awarded the Strong Standard grades in every area. St James and St John is proud to be one of those.

You can find a mobile-friendly version of the report on Ofsted’s website
